The median rent price across the state of Tennessee has changed dramatically between 2015 and 2019 according to data from the American Community Survey.

According to data pulled from the American Community Survey, the median price of rent changed for multiple counties in the state of Tennessee. The median price of rent is shown by the color ranges on the map. Almost all the counties showed an increase in the price of rent, some in hundreds of dollars. Davidson County had the highest increase with 268 dollars over the time period.

Counties near Nashville are shown to have a higher rise in median rent compared to counties farther away. This is also true for counties near Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville. Counties near Cookeville and Johnson City still have a high dollar amount in median rent change; however not as much as the other counties on the map.
