The percentage of people that speak languages other than English in the state of Tennessee is high according to data from the 2019 U.S.Census.

According to the 2019 U.S. Census Bureau, the state of Tennessee has a high population of people that speak languages other than English. Language development and communication skills are critical components in Tennessee's educational system. School systems use the data from the U.S. Census to provide language development support for their non-English students.

In addition to using the data from the 2019 Census, I will be interviewing teachers, educators, and school board members. All have insight on this data and its impact on their multi-language speaking students. In addition to analyzing the data pulled from the 2019 Census data, I will also be interviewing teachers, a school board member, and other educational professionals who work with these children daily.
