According to the data pulled from the U.S. Census, the median household income for Tennessee counties is parallel to food relief benefits issued by the government.

The data from the U.S. Census shows the unique relationship between the median household income and government issued food relief benefits. The relationship is parallel comparing all the counties in Tennessee. The counties that have a lower median household income have a higher percentage of people receiving government benefits.

Lake County Tennessee has the highest percentage of benefit recipients. It has over 32 percent as of the last census. Lake county is also one of the lowest median household incomes in the state. This can be compared to Sumner County and WIlliamson County which have some of the highest median household incomes in the state. These two counties also have the lowest percentage of government food benefits with less than 10 percent.
