Median gross rent and college students

According to data from the U.S Census Bureau from 2019, the median gross rent is significantly high in the counties surrounding the Nashville area.

As cities and counties around the Nashville area continue to grow, the demand for apartments does as well. The price for apartments is skyrocketing making it hard for certain economic classes to become residents. The price of these apartments is high for a college student to pay. To complete my research I will be using the data of the median gross rent in counties surrounding Nashville, and I will also interview different economic class residents in the surrounding counties of Nashville. Out of these residents I will interview MTSU students living in apartments near campus, living in apartments around the rest of Rutherford county, and students living in apartments in other counties surrounding Nashville.
